IMPORTANCE OF COUNSELLING FOR THE ORGANIZATION

(GREAT IMPORTANCE OF COUNSELING in 2020 - Minds Healer, 2020)

Employee Counselling - Introduction

HR counseling has grown to be a very important responsibility for HR managers in the current, highly complex environment because it is crucial to managing human resources in a variety of areas, including career planning and development, performance management, stress management, and other areas that may emotionally affect employees. The use of counseling is highly widespread, both inside and outside of organizations.(p.Bishnoi)

There may be situations in an organization when, despite everything being in perfect shape, an employee does not perform well. This poses serious dangers. An employee who may be doing the work but is not performing well is a liability for the organization. The most effective and proven method of dealing with these kinds of problems is counseling. Counseling has numerous benefits. It not only supports good employee performance but also addresses the causes of poor and marginal performance.(P.Bishnoi)

Employee counseling is founded on the idea that if a worker receives the right guidance from knowledgeable supervisors, performance may improve. Individual counseling, defined as an attempt to assist weak or underperforming employees in improving, is critical for two reasons: first, to improve performance, and second, to provide support and potential evidence for eventual termination if the employee fails to improve. (P.Bishnoi)

So, it is an effective type of counseling.(P.Bishnoi)
